Some days just feel like you’re running a neverending marathon. You know the ones I mean. I’m pretty sure you have them too! Today I compiled a to-do list of all the things that needed my immediate attention. I stopped the list at twenty-three, even though I could have kept going.
Instead I decided to focus on the top five most pressing. I starred them on the list, thought about the most efficient way to accomplish them and proceeded to work my plan.
That lasted about five minutes.
What I actually got done by day’s end was one thing–MY EXCERPT!

And even though I didn’t meet all my goals today, I still feel like celebrating because it’s the first official excerpt of my first ever book.
So, how about a BOOK GIVEAWAY? Or maybe two giveaways of two books each?
To be entered into a random drawing, first read the excerpt here: www.debbiekaufman.com/excerpt
Then leave me a comment about the story here on the blog.
I will pick two winners on Sept. 2nd at midnight EST. Winner #1 receives a copy of Lynette Eason’s Threat of Exposure and a copy of Lacy Williams’ Marrying Miss Marshall, a Love Inspired Historical. Winner # 2 receives a copy of Danger on Her Doorstep by Rachelle McCalla, a Love Inspired Suspense and Carla Capshaw’s The Champion, a Love Inspired Historical.
Winners names will be posted here on the blog Sept. 3rd, 2011. IF I have more than 50 unique comments, I reserve the right to award an extra book just for the fun of it!
Want an extra entry? Refer a friend and have them give you credit in their comment. Oh, and don’t miss my e-reader contest for newsletter sign-ups while you’re here. www.debbiekaufman.com/newsletter One lucky subscriber will win an e-reader when I get to 1000 subscribers.
